Driving test centres closed for two days

DIA Insurance ADI News

Driver and vehicle tests have been suspended for the next two days (19-20 March 2020).

This includes:

  • Car driving tests
  • Motorcycle tests
  • ADI tests
  • Lorry, coach and bus driving tests

DVSA has put this measure in place to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

A testing service will still be available to those who have a critical need, such as the NHS and drivers delivering goods across the UK.

DVSA will get in touch with everyone with a test booked during this time to let them know if their test has been cancelled, and we will automatically re-book for them.

Out of pocket expenses

Because DVSA had to cancel tests at short notice, you and your pupils will be able to claim out-of-pocket expenses.

Find out how to do this at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-refunding-out-of-pocket-expenses

DVSA is monitoring the emerging situation and will let you know if more tests are cancelled.
